Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between TruAge and TruHealth?
TruAge reflects how old your body appears on a cellular level: biological age, pace of ageing and eleven body-system ages. TruHealth reports methylation-based estimates for the markers themselves: lipids, fatty acids, metabolic and hormone markers, amino acids, inflammation, immune cells, organ markers, vitamins, neurological markers and environmental exposures. Do I need a phlebotomist?
No. TruHealth uses a finger-prick collection kit you do at home. There is no clinic appointment, no phlebotomist booking, and no fasting required.
How long do results take?
3-4 weeks from when TruDiagnostic's CLIA-certified US lab receives your sample. DNA methylation analysis is genuinely complex: 900,000 markers, run on Illumina EPIC arrays, with proprietary algorithms applied to the raw data.
How often should I retest?
Every 6-12 months. Epigenetic change is gradual, and the most useful thing TruHealth gives you is the trend over time: where a measurement has moved since your last sample, the report prints what it was alongside what it is. We will email you a retest reminder.
